MInnesota School of Business – St. Cloud Students Provide Massage and Healthy Eating Tips to High School Athletes

MSB Students to participate in Spartan Challenge for fifth consecutive year on July 28

St. Cloud, MN (July 26, 2016)— Eighteen massage and medical assistant students from Minnesota School of Business – St. Cloud will lend their expertise to help high school athletes stay on top of their game during the Spartan Challenge from 9 a.m.-noon on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Rocori High School.

During the event, high school students in grades 10-12 from area schools are invited to take part in a weight lifting, speed and agility competition. In the weight lifting events students will be scored on most pounds per ounce. The event is open to both boys and girls and coaches from several Minnesota colleges will also be there assessing athletes and their ability.

Minnesota School of Business massage students will be on hand to provide chair and sports massages throughout the event. Students in the medical assistant program will also be there to talk with the student athletes about healthy eating, among other things. The event is a great opportunity for the athletes to learn smart ways to protect their bodies and improve their performance and for MSB students to put the skills they’ve learned in the classroom into practice in their local community.

This is the fifth year Minnesota School of Business has taken part in the Spartan Challenge.
