GU-Wausau brings together Junior Achievement, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for Community Education Day: Financial Readiness 2012

This Friday is GU/MSB Community Education Day.  The goal this year aligns with ACICS’s Community Education Initiative.  We will be using our campus as a platform for both education and volunteerism serving an education partner in our
community.  Our event is titled, “Financial Readiness 2012”.

We are volunteering with Junior Achievement and will be organizing all of this
region’s left-over Junior Achievement curriculum materials to prepare for next
year’s JA Curriculums . We will also be hosting an education session that we
will attend from 12-1:30 p.m..  The “Financial Readiness 2012 Event”
aligns with our “Job Readiness 2012” Initiative and will be featuring both
Junior Achievement and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, who will share
collaboration opportunities and strategies for personal financial
success.  See flyer below for further details.  In addition, we like
to get outside and help our great neighbors and community partners; we will
accomplish this by doing a Cedar Creek Spring Clean-Up.
