See How Music Business Education Rocks Out for Lung Cancer Research

Earlier this year two Globe University-Madison East classes joined efforts to help raise funds to support the Jodi Lou Lung Cancer Foundation.  As a wife, mother, and non-smoker, Jodi Lou was shocked to become diagnosed with lung cancer.  She passed away at age 36, shortly after starting her foundation. The foundation is dedicated to supporting the lung cancer research program at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Globe University’s music business class, Entertainment Networking and Self Promotion, and the Global Citizenship class organized a benefit concert to raise funds to support lung cancer research.  The students promoted, set up, and operated the concert. Over 200 people attended the benefit and the students raised over $2,135 in one night for the foundation.

The video below highlights the applied learning project and the student’s efforts.
