Students Assist with Red Cross Blood Drive

Business students work from planning phase to clean-up

Globe University–Green Bay business students planned and assisted with a campus blood drive to benefit the Red Cross. They helped set up and market the event.

Instructor Dorothy Seehausen and her students saw a need in the community and took time out of their busy schedules to contribute to this cause and host the blood drive on campus.

The students had a goal to attract 30 donors and collect 25 usable pints of blood. They exceeded their goal by bringing in 43 people and 34 pints. The students used networking techniques to attract the large number of people that helped make the event a success.

“I thought that this blood drive brought a great sense of community for those of us that put a lot of work into it,” said student Jennifer Luce. “I would love to do this again in the future. It was a wonderful experience.”
