Globe University-SF Vet Tech Program Hits 600th Vaccination

The Globe University-Sioux Falls veterinarian technician program hits a milestone: rabies vaccination #600!  The campus started giving free rabies shots for local, nonprofit animal rescues a quarter after opening its doors in 2008.

Giving the shots is not only great hands on learning for the vet tech students, but it also also helps out local rescues.

“If you look at the average cost of a 25 dollar vaccine, this is saving the shelter money on all their shots,” said Dr. Jim Hanson.
