Charlie Buehler posts a “Word of the Week” outside his office. This week’s is: καλεω- which means to call by name. It’s an Attic Greek word –the Greek spoken in Athens more than 2000 years ago.
How does Buehler –-a Sioux City, Iowa native–know this language? He earned his undergrad in French and Religion from Augustana College in Sioux Falls and recently completed his Master in Theological Studies degree from Harvard Divinity School where he also picked up Koine Greek and Hebrew.
Charlie is excited about his role as Admissions Consultant at Globe University because he is passionate about education and kids.
You may be surprised to learn Charlie has four adopted boys and three foster boys ranging in ages from 11 months to 12 years old. When asked what his hobbies are or what he enjoys in his spare time, he replied,” Maybe sleep, but what is that?”
Don’t be surprised to find Charlie continuing his education in the future. He hopes to achieve his PhD someday. Stop by and get to know Charlie today. Click here to see Charlie featured in the Harvard online magazine.
