Perfect Attendance Pays Off for Students

Attendance is very important to ensure success in your personal and professional life. Attendance and active participation in the classroom are critical for learning new skills, techniques and the overall program at Globe University-Woodbury. Therefore, students are expected to be present and on time for all classes. We know it’s a tall order and a challenge for students, but it is possible, as the students named below can attest. It’s also rewarded.

Seth Dixon poses next to his Perfect Attendance Student of the Month parking spot

Each month, a student who achieved perfect attendance is drawn to receive the dedicated parking space.

“It’s nice to know you can receive little perks like a dedicated parking spot or discounted books through the bookstore,” Seth Dixon, the Globe University-Woodbury student who received a front row parking spot for his perfect attendance, said. “These perks for perfect attendance illustrate how Globe makes it a priority to ensure students get the most out of their education. It feels great to be appreciated by the school you attend.”

To achieve perfect attendance for residential courses, students are required to attend every class period for the entire length of the class. To achieve perfect attendance for online classes, students are required to meet the discussion board deadlines on BlackBoard (posting on two separate days) and expectations each week (Monday through Sunday), for the entire quarter.

“Perfect attendance is not a difficult task so long as you can plan ahead or around the other things going on in your life,” said Dixon. “It’s a great feeling knowing that I didn’t miss out on any information in each of my classes.”

Congratulations to ALL of the following students who achieved Perfect Attendance for the Summer 2013 quarter:
