Event flyer created by music business studentsMusic business students help plan and promote Believe Music Productions 4th Annual Food Drive set for this Friday, November 30 at Dibbos in Hudson, WI. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and all non-perishable food items will be collected at the door and donated to Valley Outreach Food Shelf in Stillwater, Minn. Music starts at 9:00 p.m. The ‘dress to impress’ themed event will include Twin Cities hip hop artist Leviticus as emcee and will feature the following local bands:

  • The David Yellen Band
  • The Sisseez
  • The Dead Flowers
  • 14 Clicks

The students worked together as a class to promote by creating an event page on Facebook, designed flyers that were posted around campus and in the community as well as produced a video and posted it on YouTube.

“Helping plan and promote this event helped our students gain first-hand experience and knowledge of the work and dedication it takes to plan and implement all of the elements necessary to put on a live performance that includes several bands,” said Kai Thietje, Music Business Program Chair at Globe University. “Organizing this event has been a great learning experience for our students who are interested in live performance booking, event planning, and concert promotion.”

For the past four years, Believe Music Productions has hosted a music industry networking party that helps non-perishable items for local food shelves. This year they partnered with Valley Outreach Food Shelf, a nonprofit organization that strives to help the St. Croix Valley neighbors in need of food, clothing, emergency financial assistance, and other support while respecting their individual dignity and offering them encouragement and hope.

The event is 21 plus and has no cover. Contact Kai Thietje with questions.
