Students Working Hard to Achieve Honors

Another quarter has passed and it is time to acknowledge those students who have worked so hard to achieve honors and highest honors in the 2013 Summer Quarter. Congratulations to the students below who achieved this great honor.

In order to stress the importance of academic performance, Globe University also awards academic honor recognition quarterly to qualifying students. A student must achieve a quarterly grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or above to achieve the honors recognition, and a quarterly GPA of 4.0 to achieve highest honors.

Congratulations to the following students who received Honors and Highest Honors for the 2013 Summer Quarter.

How does it feel to achieve honors?

“Being an honor student feels amazing,” said Ann Fedders, Globe University-Woodbury medical assisting student. “Achieving honors allows me to hold my head higher and my step has more confidence. Maintaining good grades is not very difficult, but it does take commitment and good time management.”

“It makes me feel that all my time, energy, and hard work has paid off,” said Tina Keport, Globe University-Woodbury veterinary technology student. “This is now my goal every quarter to be on this list and it is the best feeling in the world when I accomplish my goal!”

What advice would you give others to achieve this honor?

“I use a day planner and schedule myself study time each day. As each quarter progresses, I break the study time down even more. I will look at my assignments and decide where I need to spend my study time and plug it into my dedicated study time accordingly,” said Fedders.

“One recommendation that I would give to anyone is to plan your week. Set small goals to start with and work up to larger goals. And one really important thing I would like to say is to not be afraid to ask for help! Whether you are an online student, taking classes on campus, or a combination, there is always someone willing to help if you just ask,” said Keyport.
