This course examines the communication flow between business leaders, other professionals and with their clients. Analysis focuses on using written and oral communications for the effective exchange of ideas. The course also examines the challenges virtual mediums and global markets place on these communications.
Team Work/Group Management Tools
In this course students will learn how cooperation, collaboration and teamwork impact workplace climates. Students explore the dynamics of group behavior in all phases of operations in order to determine essential guidelines that enhance team productivity and meet the expectations of the workplace.
This course focuses on the strategic management process and implementation as well as the role of leaders in strategic planning. Students apply knowledge from previous courses to develop strategies.
Research and Business Project Development
Students review the principles of understanding and interpreting research and proposals. Students review technical issues and research ethics while writing individual business plan/project topic outlines.
Students create and present a business plans/project. Possibilities include small business plan, new management approach in existing business, a plan for gaining financial support or a marketing plan for a new or existing business.
