Globe University - Downtown Minneapolis
One of Minnesota’s Oldest Colleges Returns to the Minneapolis Business District!
Downtown Minneapolis, Globe University/Minnesota School of Business is back, now offering the MBA degree at our IDS Center location.
In 1877, students at Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis dodged covered wagons and horse-drawn carriages to attend classes in a three-room building at the intersection of Marquette and 3rd Streets. The new business college was proud of its location in the heart of the business district of the region’s greatest city, and of its curriculum: English and business skills training that prepared students for high-demand jobs.
Over the next 130 years, as the student body grew and the scope of the curriculum expanded, the college relocated a number of times within Minneapolis. In 1993, MSB moved to a new campus in Richfield, Minnesota.
In summer, 2008 we will hold the first classes at our new downtown Minneapolis location, in the IDS Center on the Nicollet Mall. Students arriving by light rail, metro bus and auto will pass through the Crystal Court to attend classes in our 21st Century facility.
MBA, bachelor’s and associate degree programs
The Minneapolis campus will offer programs leading to master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees in the following areas:
Providing training for today’s employment market

An unchanging focus
At GU/MSB, we constantly modify our programs and our physical facilities to meet the needs of our students and today’s employers. Our school has expanded to campuses throughout the Upper Midwest. Typewriters have been relegated to historical displays, and many of our students complete entire programs, including the MBA, through online courses. Our commitment and our focus, however, are unwavering: providing students with skills that lead to rich and rewarding careers.
