Featured courses leading to an A.A.S. in Programming and Game Development

Game Interface Design & Theory: Learn the fundamentals of design and master design documents. The class deals with design issues, introduction to game programming and level design.

Animation in Game Development: An introduction to animation, this course includes exploration of the user interface, viewports, objects, file management, modeling with 2D splines, polygons and compound objects.

Game Engine Programming: This course covers the application of existing game engine technologies toward developing complex new games. Upon completion, you will be able to identify and utilize structures that are common to a variety of game engines.

Game Development Production: Create your own computer game! You will learn game engine design and Windows programming, with emphasis on implementing a design document into a workable computer game.

Lighting, Scene, and Set Design: In this course you’ll be introduced to the artistic representation of light and shadow and the application of those concepts to various forms of animation. You will be able to create lighting effects from invented light sources and utilize lighting features for use in storyboards, 2D animation and 3D animation.
