In this video Melanie Torborg, the network dean for the accounting programs at Globe University, talks about different accounting careers. First, she talks about entry-level positions in various accounting you could get as an accounting graduate of out program. For example, you could pursue a career in accounts payable, accounts receivable or become a payroll professional. You may even begin as a staff accountant.

With some further experience, you can work as a staff accountant, a tax preparer, an auditor or internal auditor, and can have opportunities to move up into assistant controller or controller.

We prepare students for two specific certifications in our programs so they can pursue their desired accounting careers. One is the Certified Management Accountant, and in order to provide you with the best preparation we offer an extensive review course before you take the exam. You will also learn about our new bachelor’s in Forensic Accounting, where we offer a specialized review course for the Certified Fraud Examiner.

Whenever a you get an accounting certification, it gives you a much better opportunity to move up the accounting career ladder.
