Veterinary Technology Graduate Says Globe University is Second Family

Josephine (Josie) Dechant chose to attend Globe University for the small campus size, one-on-one instructor attention and overall friendly atmosphere. Josie earned her degree in the veterinary technology program, and she enjoyed the fact that it was a close-knit group.

“What I liked best at Globe University was that it, honestly, became my home away from home,” Josie explains. “My instructors and classmates became my second family.”

Like Josie, many students say the small, family-like setting is what they love about Globe University. In addition, the support from the faculty, staff and the career services department are crucial to beginning a career in a student’s chosen field. Josie was fortunate to be hired at the Coulee Region Humane Society before she graduated where she is using her vet tech expertise to help others.

“As their education coordinator, I go out into the public schools and the community as well to educate the public about veterinary issues, basic pet care, husbandry and other concepts,” Josie explains.

Josie had such a positive experience at Globe University that she advises others to check it out, too.

“I would definitely recommend Globe University,” she says.
