Daniel Albrecht has been through a lot to get where he is today. He’s a cancer survivor, wounded combat military veteran, father of three, successful business owner and now Globe University graduate. Daniel attended the Woodbury campus where he was in the business administration program and says he was attracted to the size of the school.
“I liked the location and the small class sizes,” he says. “I attended a state university where the classes had, like 500 people. When they told me there would be about 12 per class (at Globe University), that was it for me.”
Daniel and his wife own a holiday light installation company and lawn service and landscaping company, so schedule flexibility was another reason he chose to attend Globe University.
“It was easy for me to take classes at night and online, unlike traditional schools,” says Daniel. “I could still work and go to class.”
Despite his obstacles, Daniel’s hard work and determination has allowed him to achieve a lot throughout his life.
“I beat cancer, entered the Marines, was deployed two times to see the world and a combat zone, got married, had kids, got my degree, and now I own a house, four cars and two business,” Daniel says about the things he is most proud of.
In the future, Daniel hopes to learn more about search engine optimization, create a mobile application, grow his companies and invest in others. Earning his degree has allowed Daniel the freedom to enjoy his career every day.
“I love what I do. I get to have fun when I work,” he says. “If you can’t have fun with what you do, you should find a new job.”
