International Student Says Attending Globe University to Pursue Her MBA was Best Decision She Ever Made
Nkasali (Sally) Kabatange is originally from Tanzania in East Africa, and wanted to attend a school that provided her with many opportunities. Globe University proved to do just that. Sally was hired at a Fortune 500 company as a project manager early on while attending Globe University-Minneapolis for her Master of Business Administration degree. Globe University provided her a work permit so she could work there.
“I wanted to attend a school in downtown Minneapolis with a flexible schedule,” says Sally. “As an international student, it was important for me to [go to] a school that would give me a work permit so that I can get professional experience while I attending classes.”
In addition to the flexibility, Sally was attracted to the location of Globe University, as she had the ability to work off-campus and find jobs in the industrious downtown area.
“For international students seeking graduate level courses, this is a great place to come study. The [instructors] are very helpful; they have professional experience and can give good advice,” she says.
Sally attended a traditional four-year college in Minnesota for her undergraduate degree, but chose Globe University for its MBA program.
“I came to [the U.S.] to pursue my undergrad and graduate courses, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I have had great exposure and I would not trade it for anything,” Sally explains. “My program added great value for leadership skills at work and my professional well-being. It has given me the skills to think broader and the many options I have as I return to Tanzania.”
Just after graduating, Sally moved back home to Tanzania. As of January 2015, she is the country operations manager for Woolworths Holdings Limited, which is a major retail company in South Africa and surrounding countries. She credits the MBA she received at Globe University for helping her secure the position.
