Maia Novotnak loved her educational experience at Globe University-Madison West so much, that after graduating with her associate degree in business administration, she came back to earn her bachelor’s degree. Maia credits Globe University’s academic support and growth opportunities for this seamless transition.
“I wanted to further my education, and Globe provided more academic options, as well as growth, than the typical community college options,” explains Maia. “They also took majority of my transfer credits when other colleges wouldn’t.”
Maia appreciates the small size of the school and that the faculty are so dedicated to helping her succeed.
“Globe is like a family. Instead of being a number, people know your name and care about your success as an individual, not just as a statistic in their overall success rate,” she says. “[The instructors] are your friends instead of an intimidating professor standing at the head of the class that you may have never talked to before.”
Globe University also has a tight-knit alumni network and great relationships with businesses in the local community, making the hiring process a little easier for its students. Maia has experienced this first hand.
“I was employed the week of graduation as a case manager at Legacy Advisor Network, and I have been able to give back by getting others hired and providing an internship at my current position as well,” she says.
Maia is already well on her way to earning her bachelor’s degree, thanks to Globe University’s career path options, which allowed her to stack the credentials she earned while pursuing an associate degree into her bachelor’s program requirements.
“Business administration is so generic, and you can take it in so many directions. Globe helped me find the right path for me,” says Maia. “I am forever altered for the better.”
