Business Administration Student - Katie

Katie Heisler works best under pressure. She says she likes the challenge of Globe University’s business administration program and appreciates the support she receives at the Wausau campus.

“Globe is more like a family then a school. Instructors that are not part of my program know me by name,” Katie explains. “I’ve never encountered an instructor that didn’t want to help.”

Katie says in addition to the supportive faculty, the real-world, hands on educational experience gives her the skills she needs to succeed in her career.

“Everything that I’ve learned so far at Globe, I’ve used with my full-time job,” she says. “It was the marketing class that helped me decide what I want to do after I graduate.”

As part of the Student Ambassador group and President of the Accounting/Business Club, Katie is heavily involved in campus activities. It was Globe University’s We Care mission, and service- and applied-learning projects that inspired her to attend in the first place.

“I picked Globe University because of how involved in the community they are,” says Katie. “I love to volunteer, so when I found out about Globe’s touch in the community, I enrolled.”

Although she stays busy with a full-time job, volunteering and a rigorous school schedule, Katie plans to continue challenging herself at work and in the classroom.

“I’m committed to my job… and I’m committed to my education, and that is why I will be returning to Globe after I graduate with my associate [degree].”
